North Branford, Conn. (WTNH) - Two people were arrested, during two separate instances, after admitting to police they had drugs up their butts and voluntarily reaching into their pants to remove them.
On Wednesday, Jan. 11th, police stopped a vehicle on Foxon Road, in North Branford, suspected of being involved in a drug transaction.
Once the vehicle was stopped, an officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicles passenger compartment. The driver, Alex Zukowski, of 5 Blue Trails Dr., Northford, then confessed that he had smoked marijuana in the car and that he had two zip lock bags of marijuana in his anus.
Zukowski then reached into his pants and removed the two bags of marijuana. Additionally, Zubowksi told police he had more marijuana at his home. After searching the residence, police found two individually packed Ecstacy pills and 11 zip lock bags of marijuana and packing materials.
Zukowski was charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of hallucinogen, possession of hallucinogen with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Later that day, officers stopped a second vehicle on Foxon Road for suspicious activity.
Upon stopping the vehicle, police found the driver to be in possession of a dollar bill folded with a small amount of cocaine inside.
The passenger, Christopher Sanzari, 18, of Neubigs Way, North Branford, then admitted to police to having a plastic bag filled with cocaine in his anus. He proceeded to reach into his pants and remove a clear plastic bag containing cocaine.
Sanzari was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The driver, 19-year-old Lucas Orkisz, of Lake Road, North Branford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
