NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are on the scene of two separate incidents at North Haven banks.

A TD bank located at 90 Washington Avenue was robbed Wednesday. Then a car rammed into a First Niagara just down the street at 110 Washington Ave.

According to police, a lone African American male entered the TD bank and presented a note to a teller indicating that he had a weapon and demanding cash.

The man then fled the bank, on foot, with an undetermined amount of cash.

In the second incident, police say an elderly driver was making a left into a parking space when something went wrong and the car accelerated into the bank.

No one was injured in the crash and there was no major structural damage to the building.

Police are on the scene, investigating both incidents.
