TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two men were arrested for firing shots in a Torrington neighborhood Thursday morning.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m., in the area of 31 Maplewood Ave.
Upon arrival, police learned that two men staying on the 2nd floor may have been involved.
As the investigation continued, contact was made at 31 Maplewood Ave. with Matthew Renzullo and a male who was giving the name "Anthony Patriaca," later found to be Roger Hunt.
After interviewing the men, police learned that Hunt had two long rifles and a handgun within the apartment. The guns were all seized by police.
Renzullo later admitted that he shot a handgun, pointing it in the air, while standing in the roadway, on Maplewood Ave., down the street from Hunt's apartment.
No one was injured and no known property was damaged.
Renzullo, 23, of 13 Maplewood Ave., was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, conspiracy to commit unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a dangerous weapon, breach of peace, reckless endangerment, conspiracy to commit reckless endangerment, and second-degree false statement.
Renzullo was held on a $100,000 bond.
