2000 bags of synthetic marijuana seized

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) -- 2000 bags of synthetic marijuana have been seized today in Willimantic, police said.

Police say that the drug bust occurred after a search warrant had been obtained.

It is not clear on the exact location of the bust or who may have been involved.

News 8 has also learned that this is the first bust of its kind in Connecticut. Special procedures had to be taken to obtain a search warrant.
