SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Shelton Police arrested a 29-year-old man for heroin possession and other charges.
Police searched apartment 27B Perry Avenue around 9 a.m. Thursday morning.
John Thompson was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin with intent to sell, Possession of Heroin within 1,500 ft of a school, Possession of Heroin within 1,500 ft of a school with intent to sell, and four counts of Risk of Injury to a minor.
The arrest ends a month long investigating of heroin sales downtown, police said.
Police searched the home after three of Thompson's children went to school. A fourth child, age 2, was taken from the scene by EMS without incident, police reported.
Police seized approx. $1,000 worth of heroin, packaging materials, and an unknown amount of cash.
Bond was set at $150,000 and is scheduled to be in Derby Superior Court Friday.
