STAMFORD, Conn. (Stamford Advocate) - The 22-year-old man accused of killing a 3-month-old boy in December was ordered by a judge to give another DNA sample during a hearing at the Stamford courthouse Tuesday morning.
Dressed in an orange jumpsuit, Osvaldo Romero, 22, of 146 Henry St., Stamford, was all smiles and pursed his lips, blowing a kiss to his mother, his girlfriend and other family members sitting in the third row of the fourth-floor courtroom gallery.
Senior Assistant State's Attorney Richard Colangelo asked Judge Gary White to order a second DNA sample be taken from Romero in order to determine if it was he who sexually abused the baby boy before he died on Dec. 2.
