MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) -- Manchester police are investigating after three people in one day were robbed after using area ATMs.
In all three cases, the victims reported the suspect threatened them with a gun, although one was never seen, after they had used the ATM machine.
Police say the three robberies, which happened on Monday, appear to be related.
The first happened at 3:03 p.m. at the Bank of America located at 893 Main Street. The suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a black mask and sunglasses.
The second robbery also took place at a Bank of American, this one at 14 North Main Street at 11:07 p.m. The suspect is a white male who was wearing a blue sweatshirt and a mask.
About nine minutes later, the third robbery was reported at the First Niagara Bank located at 344 West Middle Turnpike. The suspect is a white male with dark hair. He was wearing an oversized red shirt with a red colored scarf or bandanna over his face. He is between 5'9" - 5'10" tall and is in his late teens or early 20's.
Residents using ATM machines are being asked to be extra aware of their surroundings, especially late at night.
