NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two women and their mother were accused of assaulting a woman in New Haven.
Police reported to Whalley Avenue on Thursday afternoon regarding an assault and found the victim, Minisha Sumler, with her eye swollen shut and showed other injuries, police said.
Sumler told police she was confronted by Katara Hoover, Ebony Green and their mother, Rhonda Green and took a series a blows, punches and kicks, before the three ran away, police said.
Sumler said there has been tension between the families for about a year and the attack was most likely the result of a recent argument, police said.
New Haven police helped Yale Univertisy Police locate the suspects, because two of the women are employed by Yale.
Rhonda Green, 47, of New Haven was arrested at 371 Lombard Street. Green was uncooperative and wouldn't give her daughter's location, police said. Green was charged with second-degree assault, breach of peace and conspiracy to commit each.
The two sisters went to Police Headquarters to inquire about their mother's arrest and were taken into custody and charged with the commission of the same crimes.
