NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) -- New Britain Police Dept. arrested 5 people on drug and firearm related charges after executing two search and seizure warrants.
On Thursday and Friday, New Britain's Criminal Investigation Division executed two warrants to address community complaints and improve the quality of life in neighborhoods.
The first search warrant resulted in the arrest of 32-year-old Thomas Walker, of 426 Chestnut St Apt. 2. He was charged by warrant with the sale of marijuana, and additionally possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of marijuana after investigators seized 3.2 grams of crack cocaine, 1.8 grams of marijuana and a total of $3,8000 in suspected drug proceeds.
The second warrant at 131 Kensington Ave Apt. 1 resulted in four arrests, police said.
Taylor Patterson, 20, and Sean Patterson, 22, of 190 Lebanon Ave in Colchester were both charged with possession of a narcotic substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
41-year-old Barbara Yockachonis and a forth male suspect, both of 131 Kensington Ave Apt. 1 were each charged with possession of a sawed off shotgun, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance, operating a drug factory and failure to keep narcotic in original container.
The fourth male suspects information was not immediately available.
