NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — A 23-year-old New Haven man has been arraigned on charges he shot a man and stabbed a teenage girl inside the Farnam Courts housing complex.
Byron Faulks allegedly attacked the girl in her apartment Friday after fleeing from the shooting that left 41-year-old Quintin McIntyre critically injured.
The New Haven Register reports that Faulks told the girl he had to kill her, after demanding she give him a hooded sweat shirt.
Police broke into the apartment after the girl had been stabbed in the head. They captured Faulks, who they said had the girl in a choke hold. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Faulks was ordered held Monday on $5 million bond on multiple counts including assault, home invasion and kidnapping with a firearm.
