NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- State police, with the assistance of FBI agents, executed six search and seizure warrants in New Haven, Milford and Hamden as part of an extensive criminal investigation.

On Wednesday, officers went to the New Haven and Hamden locations of Lombard Motors, two New Haven locations and one Milford branch of Anthony's High Tech Auto Centers, and DJ's Service Center in Milford.

According to Anthony's website , all these businesses are owned by the same company.

On Wednesday, workers told News 8's Erin Logan the owner of these businesses is Anthony Monaco and he was questioned by the police.

News 8 was on the scene and saw officers going in and out of the garages, checking VIN numbers. Sources say it's part of an investigation into stolen motors, but police wouldn't confirm what they were looking for.

Officers seized evidence from these locations and say arrests are expected in this ongoing criminal case.
