EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two women were arrested after one stabbed the other during a dispute in East Hartford.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, at 860 Main St.
Upon arrival, officers found 50-year-old Julia A. Jackson, of 860 Main St. Apt. 406, suffering from multiple wounds to her neck and arms. She was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
After investigating, police determined that the suspect, 60-year-old Janice Harvey, of 108 Governor St., New Britain, was at the scene. Harvey was taken into custody and held on a $250,000 bond.
Harvey was charged with first-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
Jackson was also charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening. She was released from custody on a $10,000 non-surety bond.
The knife used during the assault was a box cutter, which was found at the scene.
Police said Harvey and Jackson knew each other, and that the fight appeared to be over money.
