HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Over 65 headstones were damaged by vandals at many Jewish cemeteries in Hartford.
The cemeteries are managed by the Federation Association of Jewish Cemeteries. They surveyed the damage and have worked out a plan to fix the stones this week.
The majority of the vandalism happened in the Garden Street area at First Ludmir and Albany Jewish Center Cemeteries and at Share Torah Cemetery on Zion Street, the federation reported.
Donations can be made directly to the federation offices to help offset this expense.
Please call Lisa K. Vaeth, the Operations Manager & Jewish Cemetery Director, at (860) 727-6143 for more information.
