7 arrested in New Haven narcotics raid

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Seven people were arrested in a narcotics raid at the Church Street South Housing Project in New Haven Thursday morning.

Officers were executing three arrest warrants at 4C Cinque Green, 7C Station Court and 14A Malcolm Court following an extensive investigation into illegal narcotics dealing in the area.

Marquita Landelius, 37, Jules Kierce, 21, Jose Rivera, 43, were arrested for sale of narcotics and other narcotics-related charges.

Officers seized crack cocaine, heroin, several items of drug paraphernalia, packaging and cash during the raids.

Ebony Baines, 32, of Middletown, Michael Radford, 31, of New Haven, Shirley Thomas, 49, of Hamden, and Natasha Radford, 29, of New Haven were also arrested on-site on narcotics charges.

Workers from the Department of Children and Families were on the scene and assisted five children who were found in the homes where the raids took place. One child was removed and the other four were referred to the Drug Endangered Children Program.
