NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- Eight people were arrested in Norwich on prostitution and drug charges Tuesday.
The arrests were made in separate undercover operations targeting illicit heroin trafficking and prostitution in the Greenville and downtown sections of Norwich.
The arrests are as follows:
Mariah Freehart, 19, of 68 Thermos Ave., Norwich, was charged with prostitution. Bond was set at $2,500.
Edward Cantara, 52, of 73 Allyn Ave., Norwich; 45-year-old Robert DeLorge, of 544 North Main St.; and 54-year-old Louis Job, of 142 Canterbury Rd., Plainfield, were all charged with patronizing a prostitute. Bond for all three was set at $2,500.
Fifty-year-old Kimberly Rapchak, of 45 Fairmount St., Norwich; and 50-year-old David Saragosa, of 17 Carpenter St., Norwich, were both charged with sale of heroin and conspiracy sale of heroin. Bond for both was set at $10,000.
Shelly Rush, 42, of 16 Franklin St., Norwich, was charged with sale of heroin, conspiracy sale of heroin, and possession of heroin. Bond was set at $10,000.
Angel Castillo, 31, of 469 Boswell Ave., Norwich, was charged with patronizing a prostitute, first-degree reckless endangerment, operating under suspension, sale of crack cocaine, and reckless driving. Bond was set at $25,000.
