Tolland, Conn. (WTNH) - A former University of Connecticut student has been arrested after police found 96 pictures and 26 video files of child pornography on his computer.
Officers first started investigating 19-year-old Gregory McKee in September 2011 under the suspicions that he had and was distributing child pornography from UConn's campus.
McKee was then arrested in December and police seized his computer and other evidence for forensic processing.
Investigating officers were able to find 96 pictures and 26 video files of child pornography on McKee's computer. Police say the images showed male children from about 5 to 10 years old engaged in sexual acts.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children say they have identified over 70 of these children.
McKee, who is a Chicago, Illinois resident, turned himself into Tolland police on Friday, Jan. 27.
He has been charged with possession of child pornography, computer crimes, and larceny.
