MANCHESTER, Conn. (AP) — A Manchester man who has already served prison time for sexually assaulting a child has been convicted again for assaulting a youngster.
The Hartford Courant reports that Steven P. Disipio was convicted Wednesday of sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was sentenced to four years in prison and six years of special parole.
He also will be listed on the state sex offender registry.
The 58-year-old Disipio pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl. As part of the agreement, prosecutors declined to prosecute Disipio on allegations he sexually assaulted two other girls.
The girls' mother was convicted for risk of injury to a minor because she knew of the sexual abuse and did not notify police or take other action to protect them.
