HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men found inside a SUV that crashed into a utility pole.
Officers responding to reports of shots being fired found the men at about 12:10 a.m. Monday inside a Toyota Highlander.
The Hartford Courant reports that the driver, 23-year-old Ramon Perez, had been shot in his head. His passenger, 61-year-old Esmerito Perez-Mendez, had a gunshot wound to the left side of his torso. They died a short time later at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
