New Haven (AP) - A fourth man has pleaded guilty in connection with the baseball bat beating of a 55-year-old woman during a home invasion in New Haven last year.

Tyquan Brown, 19, took a plea deal Wednesday in New Haven Superior Court and faces more than 18 years in prison when he is sentenced Jan. 8. The three other men arrested in the case were sentenced last week to 18 to 20 years in prison.

New Haven police say the four men broke into a home in the affluent East Rock neighborhood in April 2008. Authorities say Julia O'Sullivan was tied up and beaten, and the four men left her bleeding profusely and stole her car.

Brown's lawyer says his client never went inside the house because he was acting as a lookout outside, but added Brown takes responsibility for his role.
