Meriden man charged with trying to lure girl for sex

MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) — A Meriden man has been charged with trying to lure an underage girl into a sexual liaison during conversations on the Internet.

State police say an undercover investigation by their computer crimes unit led to Thursday's arrest of 33-year-old Bradley Foster, who was held on $25,000 bail pending arraignment Friday in Meriden Superior Court.

Troopers say they posed as an underage girl on the Internet and caught Foster trying to set up meetings for sex with her. Authorities say they seized Foster's computer after he admitted his intention to abuse a minor, and they will be looking for evidence of other victims.

It's not clear if Foster has a lawyer. He's charged with attempted second-degree sexual assault, attempted impairing the morals of a minor and attempted enticement of a minor.
