Police: Conn. man pointed rifle at people

LEDYARD, Conn. (AP) — A 20-year-old man has been arrested for pointing a rifle at several people at an intersection.

Police say they learned the rifle was unloaded after arresting Brendon T. Richmond of Gales Ferry on Sunday. Richmond is being held on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New London superior court on Monday.

He is charged with reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a minor, reckless driving and threatening.
