One woman at large for stealing checks

Southington, Conn. (WTNH) - Southington Police have locked up one woman and they are looking for another woman who they say stole checks from an elderly woman and cashed them.

Police say Charlene Holmes, 49, of Hartford and Twonne Spruill, 36, of Mansfield stole money from an elderly woman who Spruill was supposed to be taking care of in June.

Police say Spruill swiped about $1,400 in checks and Holmes cashed them. Spruill was arrested and charged conspiracy, forgery and larceny. She appeared in court on July 27th and is currently being held on $12,500 bond. Police are still looking for Holmes.
