Waterbury, Conn. (WTNH) - The high school math teacher accused of selling drugs appeared in Waterbury Superior Court Thursday.

Police say Harold Epstein, 58, is accused of illegally selling prescription drugs.

Epstein is a teacher at Wilby High School in Waterbury. Police believe he was selling Oxycontin.

They dug up information on him during a drug and weapons sweep in the city. Police do not believe Esptein was selling drugs on school property or to any current students.
