Waterford man charged in weekend police stand-off

WATERFORD, Conn. (AP) — A Waterford man accused of engaging police in an hours-long stand-off has been charged with threatening, interfering with police and breach of peace.

Jonathan Bill is being held on $100,000 bond.

Police say they seized several guns at Bill's home. Police did not identify the makes and calibers of the weapons.

The 49-year-old Bill is accused of setting off a six-hour stand-off Saturday night before he eventually surrendered.

No other details were immediately available.
