Apartment fire ruled an arson

Windham, Conn. (WTNH) - One person is facing charges after being accused of starting an apartment fire in Windham.
   
The fire occurred Monday around 7am at 336 Jeffrey Road, in the Windham Heights Apartments complex.

The building was evacuated, and no injuries were reported.

Based on their investigation, police arrested 21-year-old Carmen Rentas.

Rentas is facing several charges including arson and risk of injury to a minor.

He was held on a $10,000 non-surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 23.
