SEYMOUR, Conn. (WTNH)-- Seymour police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Saturday morning at a Webster bank.
Police received a 911 call from a bank employee and a bank patron who could hear the robbery at the drive up window, shortly before noon at 15 New Haven Rd.
Police say the suspect entered the bank and immediately displayed a handgun, before ordering several patrons and bank employees to the ground.
The suspect then leaped over the Bank Teller's counter and filled the shopping bag with money from the drawer. He leaped back over the counter and left the bank through the front door with an undetermined amount of cash.
An accomplice driving a vehicle picked up the suspect on Spruce Street, after he ran out to the rear bank parking lot. Their direction of travel is unknown.
The vehicle is described as an older model, mid to late 90's, dark colored four door Cadillac Deville or Fleetwood style car.
The suspect is described as a black male, who is around 6'2" tall. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, blue jeans and brown shoes. He also had a ski mask style hat on that partially covered his face, as well as white colored gloves. He carried a light colored cloth shopping bag into the bank.
The robbery is still under investigation and Seymour police urge anyone with information to contact them at 203-881-7601.
