Armed man robs Bridgeport Subway

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)-- A Subway restaurant in Bridgeport was robbed by an armed man on Saturday afternoon.

Police say the suspect displayed a black semi-automatic type of pistol from his waistline and robbed the Subway of about $300, on 2835 Fairfield Avenue around 1:11 PM.

The suspect is described as a 6 foot white male in his late twenties to early thirties, who's around 185-200 lbs. He also had a goatee.

The suspect was wearing a fitted black baseball hat with a white shark type logo on the left side of it, a dark gray zip up hooded sweatshirt, with a white or light grey t-shirt underneath, dark blue baggy jeans, and white sneakers.

He was also seen talking on a black cell phone prior to the robbery and is possibly left-handed.
