Salisbury, Conn. (WTNH) - Two men suspected of robbing another man with a shotgun were arrested after a short police chase Monday.
Just before 2 p.m., a man called 911 stating that two men had robbed him at gun point on Twin Lakes Road, in Salisbury. The victim said that one of the men pointed a shotgun at him and demanded his wallet.
The victim then told police that the suspects fled in a silver VW Jetta, heading east on Route 44.
An officer later spotted the suspect vehicle traveling east on Route 44 in the East Canaan area.
When the officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, it sped away, leading police on a chase.
After an approximate four mile pursuit, the suspects were stopped by police in Norfolk.
Daniel Nyenhuis, 19, of 155 Holcomb Hill Rd., New Hartford, and Lucas Ieronimo, 23, of 89 Crestwood Rd., Torrington, were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, fifth-degree larceny, assault, threatening, and engaging in pursuit.
Both are being held on $100,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, January 10th.
