Armed robbers hit Prospect gas station

Prospect, Conn. (WTNH) - State police are working to track down suspects in an armed robbery.

It happened Monday night in Prospect at the Sunoco gas station on Waterbury Road.

Police say two men wearing bandanas over their faces tied up two employees.

They took cash, cigarettes and one the employee's vehicle.

Around 2 a.m., the stolen Jeep as well as a second vehicle were discovered behind a Waterbury business.

This wasn't the first time a gas station has been robbed in the area. The Shell Station down the road was hit about a week ago.
