BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) -- Bristol police arrested a student Sunday for an online threat against a school.
According to a message sent by the superintendent that student is in custody for making a threat, and will remain in custody.
We don't yet know the exact details of the threat.
It comes just days after 26 students and staff were killed at Sandy Hook School in Newtown. Towns and districts have been planning to increase police presence at schools.
Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton said there will be a police officer in every school in his city. On the other side of the state in Ledyard, police said via Twitter they "will maintain a visible presence at all Ledyard Schools as students return to class on Monday."
In Darien, police said via Twitter they "will maintain high visibility patrols at all schools this week."
