DANBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Danbury Police arrested 3 man for attempted robbery of a Garda armored truck.
Brandon Jordan, Steven Wright, and Andre Williams, all 28-years-old, were arrested in connection to the attempted robbery.
On Sept. 27, police responded to an attempted robbery in the parking lot of Chili's at 81 Newtown Road around 1 p.m.
One of the suspects was dressed in a Garda uniform.
The truck's crew was able to give a very accurate description to investigators of one of the two perpetrators, and the car used.
During the investigation, officials learned a similar incident happened in Bridgeport on Aug. 20. A suspect was developed and after looking into his background, officials found a close connection to a Garda employee.
A link to a second Garda employee was made, who knew of the route that included Chili's, police reported.
There were a number of search and seizure warrants in the investigation, including one at 1147 Pembroke St. in Bridgeport, Jordan's residence.
The investigation led to the issuance of 3 arrest warrants on Nov. 6 and on Nov. 9 the Danbury Police and US Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force went to the homes of all three men and took them into custody.
All three were charged with first-degree Conspiracy to commit Larceny, first-degree Attempted Larceny, and second-degree Conspiracy to commit Robbery.
Jordan's bond was set at $250,000. Wrights and Williams bond's were set at $200,000.
