Arrests made in Plainville car chase

PLAINVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police made 3 arrests in connection to the Plainville car chase that happened Wednesday morning.

After police responded to cars being broken into around 3:30 a.m. a chase ensued before the stolen car lost control and flipped.

People say three people in the car were able to crawl through the shattered rear window and flee the scene on foot.

A 15-year-old was found shortly after the crash walking near the crash site and was transported to Hartford Hospital for his injuries. He will be referred to juvenile court.

One of the adult males was found at Hartford Hospital where he was being treated for his injuries and the other male adult was found three hours later hiding an shrubbery near the crash site.

William Rivera, 36, and Fernando Viera, 22, were charged with larceny by possession, conspiracy to commit larceny, criminal trover, conspiracy to commit criminal trover, interfering with an officer, risk of injury to a minor and breach of peace.

Viera was also charged with interfering with an officer, evading responsibility, reckless driving, fail to grant right of way at private drive, traveling too fast for conditions, passing on right, failure to drive right and disobeying the signal of an officer.

Both are being held on a $100,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
