GUILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 21-year-old was arrested for attempting to get a minor to engage in sexual activity.
Police say Edwin Nealon, of 98 Leetes Island Road, contacted someone online that he believed was a 15-year-old girl and was planning to meet up with her.
An undercover detective had set up the surveillance, so instead of meeting the young girl, Nealon was actually met by police.
Nealon was charged with attempted use of a computer to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity, attempted risk of injury/impairing the morals of children, and interfering with a police officer.
Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date was set for Nov. 27.
