ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man was arrested after burglarizing a barn in Orange Wednesday.
Police received a report of two men burglarizing a barn on Derby Milford Rd., in the area of West River Rd. Wednesday. The homeowner told police he was chasing one of the men on foot, heading south on Derby Milford Rd., while the other man ran north on the road.
A search was conducted, but the suspect evaded police.
Later in the day, police received an anonymous tip that a man matching the description of one of the suspects was running north on Orange Center Rd., in the area of Old Grassy Hill Rd. Assistant Chief Anthony Cuozzo was in the area and spotted the suspect walking near Orchard Rd.
The suspect, 19-year-old Dana Pettaway, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal trespass, and interfering with police.
Bon was set at $10,000.
The investigation into the identity of the second suspect continues.
