BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- The People's United bank inside the Branford Stop & Shop supermarket was robbed at gunpoint Thursday afternoon.
The robbery happened around 2 p.m. Police are looking for a man and a woman that left the area on East Industrial Road in a dark pick-up truck with a load muffler and ladder racks.
The white male, about 25-40 years old, and 6' tall, has short hair with a chin-strap style beard. He was wearing a baseball cap and long sleeved brown and white flannel button down shirt, a white tee shirt underneath and blue jeans.
The other suspect is a white female, 20-30 years old, and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and/or jacket with red on the rear and sleeves and eye glasses.
The store is located on Leetes Island Road, between Route 1 and I-95.
