Man found dead near high school in Bridgeport

Bridgeport, Conn. (WTNH) – Bridgeport police are investigating a shooting that left one dead early Saturday morning.

Police state someone reported a man laying in the middle of the street on Calhoun Place near the entrance to Kolbe Cathedral High School.

The man was found dead on the scene where he sustained several gunshots wounds.

The shooting happened at 1:18 a.m. Saturday morning.

The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
