BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are searching for suspects wanted in connection with an assault and attempted robbery that happened in Bristol early Tuesday morning.
Around 2 a.m., a 28-year-old man reported that he had just been assaulted during an attempted robbery on Missal Avenue, police said.
The victim told police he was walking home from a friend's house when he was approached by six males on Missal Avenue. He added that three of the males attacked him and he fought back to defend himself.
Police said one of the suspects used an object, possibly an edged-typed instrument, to inflict two cuts to the victim's face. The victim was then able to break free and find a police officer on the parking lot of 510 Farmington Ave.
The victim told police that one of his assailants attempted to steal money from him.
The victim was taken to Bristol Hospital for treatment.
