NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Vandals have broken windows at two historic buildings in New London.
The first incident happened at the New London County Historical Society, where the executive director spent Wednesday picking up broken glass.
Edward Baker tells News 8 he came in to work Tuesday to find one broken window in the kitchen of the Blinman Street building and while he was in there, a window in the next room was broken with another rock taken from the Historical Society's garden.
"I was in the kitchen cleaning up and I heard this loud bang and somebody was standing outside throwing a rock at the window at two o'clock in the afternoon," said Baker. "Well 1:45. So that's pretty surprising, pretty disconcerting."
Police are investigating the incident.
News 8 has also learned a window was broken in a front door at New London Superior Court on Huntington Street.
A worker rehabbing the historic building says a rock was used to break that window sometime after workers left Tuesday afternoon.
