NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Naugatuck bus driver was arrested after allegedly making a child walk a long distance home.
Police say 36-year-old Keyla Rivera was driving the bus back on November 7th. It was snowing and Rivera says she was having trouble driving in the snow so police say Rivera dropped off a 14-year-old boy about a mile and a half from home.
Rivera is charged with Risk of Injury to a child.
She is set to appear in court later this month.
The bus company First Student says Rivera has a "fine" driving record but she has been placed on leave until conclusion of the investigation.
