Police investigate carjacking in Branford

Branford, Conn. (WTNH) - Branford Police are investigating a carjacking at the Oakwood condominiums on Briarwood Lane.

According to police it happened just before 9:30 pm Wednesday. Police say a woman called saying her boyfriend was assaulted in the parking lot as he arrived home.

The caller said the suspects had handguns and fled in her boyfriend's car which was found abandoned a short distance away at Briarwood Lane and Alps Rd.
