CLINTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police in Clinton are investigating a string of car burglaries that occurred during the early morning hours on Friday.
The burglaries happened in the Commerce Street area.
Police said the suspects are targeting unlocked vehicles parked in dimly lit driveways.
Items stolen include wallets, cash, loose coins, small electronic devices, and credit cards which have been left unsecured in the passenger compartments of the vehicles.
In one instance, a vehicle which had the keys in it, was stolen.
Anyone who sees a dark blue Land Rover, bearing CT registration plate 481-TRJ, or anyone with any information is asked to contact Officer Matthew Reed at the Clinton Police Department at 860-669-0451.
According to police, this is the second string of multiple car burglaries within a two-week period where the victims were in a closely knit neighborhood, with similar manner of criminal operation, culminating in one of the victims cars being stolen.
