Man arrested for Craigslist hoax

South Windsor (WTNH) - It was a joke that went horribly wrong. Police have arrested a South Windsor man who was trying to give away a child by posting on ad on Craigslist. Turns out the whole thing was a hoax.

Ryan Bissett, 20, of South Windsor, allegedly posted the ad that offered to give away a young boy. An Avon resident spotted the ad and called police.

Police were able to track down Bissett who admitted posting the ad as a joke.

He's been charged with breach of peace and is due in court on May 21.
