New Haven man sentenced on drug dealing charges in Vt.

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) -- A Connecticut man has been sentenced in Vermont to more than 21 years in prison on crack cocaine and gun charges.

Court records say 35-year-old Frank Annette of New Haven, Conn., was the leader of a drug ring, conspiring with at least six others to distribute crack cocaine, heroin and other drugs in the Windsor area from the spring of 2007 until January of 2009.

He was convicted of conspiracy to distribute 280 grams or more of crack cocaine, conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and aiding and abetting possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

A jury found Annette guilty after a four day trial in June. He was sentenced in federal court on Thursday.
