LITCHFIELD, Conn. (AP) — A woman who arrived drunk in Bantam Superior Court was sentenced to a year in prison on drunken-driving offenses.
The Republican American reports that Lori A. Meduri of Warren admitted guilt as a third-time drunken driving offender, which requires her to serve a minimum year in prison.
Meduri was ordered by a judge on Monday to be tested. A test at the court showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.247 percent. She was sent to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in protective custody.
Meduri's most recent arrest was Sept. 1, 2011. She was sentenced Nov. 8, 2005, as a second-time offender for drunken driving.
A six-month term was suspended after 60 days.
A phone number listed in Meduri's name was not working and it was not known Wednesday if she is represented by a lawyer.
