Norwich, Conn. (WTNH) - Police arrested two men after catching them red-handed stealing copper from a vacant home in Norwich Saturday morning.
Just before 4 a.m., police received a report of suspicious activity at a vacant house on Gilmour Street.
Upon arriving, police found two suspects inside the house with a large bag of tools and copper wiring that had already been removed from the home.
Caley Watts-Pierson, 30, of 10 Gilmour St., and Bruce Grisafe, 39, of an unknown address, were both arrested.
Pierson and Grisafe were both charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, first-degree criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools.
Police said Grisafe also had two outstanding warrants for failure to appear and violation of probation.
Bond was set for both at $10,000, pending arraignment on February 21st.
Grisafe is also being held on two separate bonds of $10,000 and $2,500 for the two arrest warrants.
