Cops: Elderly man found with child porn

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) -- A 72-year-old Bristol man faces charges that include possession of child pornography.  

In September 2011, police began an investigation into the sharing of child pornography online. The activity was traced to the home of 72-year-old Joseph Carucci.

On December 6, 2011, police searched Carucci's home on Terryville Road where they seized numerous files, including images and videos, of suspected child pornography. After sifting through the evidence, police obtained a warrant for Carucci's arrest.

Carucci turned himself into police on Monday. He was charged with promoting a minor in an obscene performance, possession of child pornography and obscenity.

He was released after posting a $10,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear at Bristol Superior Court on July 30.
