Coventry, Conn. (WTNH) - A man has been arrested after police say he robbed three banks in November 2011.
Anthony Evangelista, 29, was arrested on Tuesday at Rockville Court and charged with robbing the First Niagara Bank at 1372 Main Street in Coventry on November 18.
Police say Evangelista robbed two other banks that month, in Danielson/Killingly and Enfield.
Evangelista was arrested in December for unrelated charges in Georgia. Detectives from Coventry and Enfield traveled there to interview him, after which they returned to Connecticut to file arrest warrants.
Evangelista was extradited to Connecticut after settling his charges in Georgia.
He faces charges of third degree robbery, larceny and breach of peace for the Coventry bank robbery.
