GUILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Guilford man was arrested Tuesday for stealing jewelry and other items from homes while he cleaned them.

On Tuesday police executed a search warrant at a home located at 891 Maple Hill Rd.

Police had been that the suspect, 32-year-old Joseph Ingraldi, who resides at the home, had been working at his mother's home cleaning business.

Police said Ingraldi had been stealing high dollar items, mostly jewelry and silver flatware from the homes he cleaned.

In total, police said Ingraldi took over $15,000 worth of jewelry. It is believed the items were taken over a one year period.

Ingraldi was charged with second-degree larceny.

He was held on a $75,000 bond and will be arraigned at New Haven superior Court on Wednesday.

Anyone with additional information, or who believes they may have been victimized, should contact the Guilford Police Department at 203-453-8061.
