LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Ledyard man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing a vehicle from New London.

Just after 1 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near the saw mill at Saw Mill Park in Ledyard.

Upon arrival, the responding officer located the vehicle and discovered it had been stolen from New London. It also displayed a registration plate that had been stolen from Westerly, Rhode Island.

From there, a K9 track led police to a home at 7 Lee Brook Drive.

A resident of the home, 35-year-old Samuel Greene, was arrested and charged with second-degree larceny of an automobile.

Greene was also wanted on eight outstanding arrest warrants for failure to appear in court.

He was held on $172,000 bond and is scheduled in New London court on July 11th.
