Cops: men robbed victim walking in West Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Police are investigating a robbery that happened in West Haven early Thursday morning.

According to police, around midnight the victim was walking in the area of 540 Derby Ave., near the BP gas station, when he was approached by a black VW Jetta occupied by two black males.

One of the men then got out of the vehicle and pushed the victim against the car saying that he had a gun. He then stole the victim's cell phone and an undetermined amount of cash.

The man then got back into the vehicle and sped off westbound on Derby Ave.
